can you change the .exe to .tmp, send it, then instruct to change it back to .exe?

I'm sure it's possible, but it's a huge pain in the butt. And, all the errors are the unexplored areas, so the ones that have been discovered would have to be fixed, no the new ones.

i AM AT AN IMPASS. The chunk errors are pretty bad but but the work we have done is also very expansive. But at the same time what is the worst that could happen if we restarted the map? all our progress would be lost. SO WHAT I have done alot of the server too and it just seems that we could make it better the second time around and we will have to restart it some day. Its not like it will always be here.
I am still thinking on my answer.

Dude, I would agree with you, but have you considered when the next update will come out? Almost every update in recent times has made changes to the map generation system. That means that when ever an update comes out, we will have more chunk errors. Are you proposing we start a new map every time an update comes out? Cause, I will in no case agree to that, that just insane.

I've done a lot of work and do not want to start over again. I also know that several other people have done tons of work and also do not want to restart and are willing to live with the current ugly chunks.

Sometime we could organize a work party and pick the most annoying chunks and smooth them out as a group. If we did that every couple weeks we could get everything looking nice in a few months of light work.

IT is not worth it, because future updates will all cause more chunk errors as these, upon exploration. I would strongly suggest that we just live with it for the time being, at least. They are no that big a deal. You almost never see them. We should wait until Notch cools down a bit and finishes with the terrain code, or another big update comes by like 1.8 where we want all the new features and would start a new map.

How about we delete every chunk except for ones that are developed on, and then we would have fewer chunk borders that we would have to fix.

Or we could just not worry about it  8)
